Samsung Galaxy S2 — storage space

My galaxy s2 has recently started showing a round symbol on notification bar saying lack of storage space, yet I've deleted quite a no of apps to try get rid if this but nothing works. Looked on application manager and there's loads of stuff in there I Don't recognize & can't uninstall anything else. Can someone help b4 I. Need 2 take it 2 my phone guy & get charged cash I Don't hve??! Cheers

Go into recovery mode and delete cache partition. you should find it resolves the issue.

I also had the same problem, so i just take a backup of my applications, contact, messages and other things and restore my device and after i install and copy all the backups so now my device works really nice.
