Motorola Moto X — Handset keeps acting strange, keyboard has mind of it's own!

At first I thought it was the hot weather (it might be) but my phone is driving me nuts.
Like if I use Wassap the keyboard just flashes and types on it's own, like the number 9 and all the variants of weird zeros. Then it keeps asking me uninstall or remove items from the screen, the only way I can seem to stop it is to keep turning on and off, really annoying especially if you are trying to make an urgent phone call.
Anyone else had this?
